Mistakes and Sunday ........

Can you sleep in ? As much as I'd like to, my body clock is set to 8am at the latest, at which time I'm wide awake, my mind refusing to go back to bed. This Sunday, perhaps it's just as well I am up ....... I've got two lesson plans to polish, photos to edit, a blog post to write.

Yesterday after tidying my work table, the clean space was too much of an attraction and I spent the whole afternoon finishing two projects as well as trying out some experiments for another class next month. A few have asked how a new class is cooked up ? Generally, a new class is based on a combination of ideas which may be new or older, they have to be tried out, then tweaked to take into account the different abilities of the scrappers and if it will fit the three hour class time. Most Singapore scrappers like taking home a finished project (or at least 95% done) ....... very few have the luxury of coming back again for a second session to complete the work.

Experimenting also helps me find solutions to mistakes. The canvas you see above went through many corrections and is very different from the original. There is no such thing as perfection, it's an unrealistic expectation, but you can work at a project till you feel happy at how it looks .......... if it's not salvageable ....... remembering why it didn't work makes you a better crafter, it's not a loss.

This is another mistake ........

But there were many things I learned from it.

Have a great Sunday !
